Portugal 1996!!

Back again with another show from the No Code tour; 1996! This is the first of a two show romp in Portugal and is hailed as "a very on show"! Hail, Hail to the lucky ones who got to witness it. Now here, for all to hear, in all it's glory in the 1996 bootleg section is the Cascais, Portugal show 11/24/1996! Download it and play it load!! Enjoy!

notes: Ed (wearing a mask) plays three Who songs with Kurt and Mike from The Fastbacks, introduced as "The What." (This was actually their second appearance ... the first being the 11/5/96 Vera show.) Jeff (introduced as Ed's brother, "Willy What"), joins the group for 'Young Man Blues.' During The Fastbacks' set, Stone joins them for 'Mankind." Ed again does the fast speaking or nursery rhyme (whatever it is) like the Berlin show during 'Habit.' The crowd starts a very spirited Portugal chant, which PJ picks up on and turns into a cool jam. After 'Smile,' Ed acknowledges Stone for playing bass guitar, and thanks Stone's parents (who are at the show) for having Stone. During 'Porch,' Mike inserts a few of the Rolling Stones' 'Can You Hear Me Knocking' riffs into the jam, and Ed climbs the speakers and dives. The (excellent!) crowd goes wild and Ed emerges with his shirt ripped up in back. He pulls it off and tosses it to the crowd, drapes himself with a towel and that's it. A very on show!

Working on a Few Things

More bootleg downloads are currently in the works. I was a bit tired of uploading all of those 2006 shows so I've taken a few days to do some downloading of my own. I have acquired a couple of very good Tool bootlegs that I will be sharing soon in the other bootlegs section. The sound quality is very, very good on both of those.

I've also grabbed a couple of Pearl Jam shows. One from 1996 in Toledo, Ohio that sounds great! A strong version of "In My Tree"! Also got the 2005 House of Blues show in Chicago that they did with Robert Plant to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. Haven't had a chance to listen to that one yet but it looks pretty good.

You also may have noticed that I've added a tag-board on the right side of the page so you can let me know what you think of the site or make a request or bitch and moan if that's what you feel like doing. I look for to the feedback of some of my visitors. I'll also get back to uploading the 2006 tour soon so keep checking back for new downloads.

Camden, NJ 7/5/2003

The 7/5/2003 show from Camden has been added to the 2003 Bootleg section! Another fun show form this tour which I was fortunate enough to attend with my brother and our wives! Sweet opener with "Can't Keep" and then its just full throttle into blistering versions of "Brain of J", "Save You", and "Do the Evolution"!! We were suprised with "Rockin in the Free World" midway through the main set when the Philadelphia 4th of July fireworks started to go off and the boys decided to drop some "fireworks music" for us! Other highlights for me included "Breath", which is always awesome to see, and "Down", which is a Riot Act B-side that should have made the album in my opinion. Enjoy the show!!

Tokyo, Japan 3/03/2003

Another addition has been made to the 2003 Bootleg section with the Tokyo show! This is truly a great setlist and the songs are performed very well. "Release" is a fantastic opener as usual and then add "U", "Bu$hleaguer, and a Cat Stevens cover "Don't Be Shy" and you have yourself a sweet set. The interesting thing about the Japanese shows is the crowd noise or to state it more appropriately the lack of crowd noise! Not sure if this was the way these shows were mixed or if the crowds were just not all that active but they're barely there. Still a pretty cool show and definitely worth listening too!! Enjoy the show!

Pittsburgh, PA 2003

The 2003 Bootleg section has been updated with the 4/26/2003 show from Pittsburgh, PA. Another great show for what was an amazing Pearl Jam year for Pennsylvania!! I was at this performance and highlights for me were "Faithful", "Footsteps", (Mamasan trilogy was played but not in order) and a great cover of "Know Your Rights" by the Clash!! Download and enjoy!
