2008 Bootlegs!!

As you all surely know Pearl Jam has begun their short East coast tour but man has it created a frenzy in the Pearl Jam community. They're droppin' bombs of rare tracks all over the place and it's making of quite a special little tour!! The Bonnaroo festival will probably go down as one of the most surprising shows in the bands history! Not only did they play for three hours but they dropped songs like "All Night", "WMA", and opened the monster set with "Hard to Imagine"!! Fortunately for everyone the band is releasing all of the shows through their bootleg program which you can pre-order at the official Pearl Jam page. Just go to the goods section.

The cool thing is, thanks to some amazing people taping these shows, you don't have to wait for the official bootleg to arrive at your door step. Audience recordings of the first show of the tour in West Palm Beach and the amazing performance at Bonnaroo have surfaced and will be made available here. In fact the West Palm Beach show is available now in the new 2008 bootlegs section!! That show is available in both FLAC and MP3s. The MP3 files were converted from the FLAC files at 320 kbps using dbpoweramp.

The Bonnaroo show is being uploaded to Megupload as I type and will be available in the same formats as West Palm. I am hoping to have those links up later today!!

Enjoy the shows! This is shaping up to be one hell of a tour. Who knows what they in store for Camden and MSG. I'll be at both Camden shows so hoping for something special there.

Philly '91!

The 1991 bootleg section has been updated with the show at JC Dobbs in Philadelphia on 7/12/1991! Nice little set in the early days. Must have been amazing to see "Breath" and "Alone" in such a tiny place. Enjoy the show!

support act: Carnival of Souls and Mellow Vibe
set: Wash, Once, Even Flow, State of Love and Trust, Alive, Oceans, Jeremy, Why Go, Porch, Alone, Breath

Oakland 1997

The 1997 bootleg section has been updated with the 7/15 show in Oakland, CA. This is one of the four shows that PJ performed in support of the Rolling Stones! Not a big year for touring for Pearl Jam but a few solid shows! These will all be up eventually. Enjoy!

11/15/97 - Oakland Stadium: Oakland, CA [60m]
supporting: The Rolling Stones
soundcheck: Go, Daughter/(unknown tag), Long Road
set: Long Road, Last Exit, Animal, Hail Hail, Even Flow, Jeremy, Brain of J, Daughter/(Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying), Corduroy, Wish List, Better Man, Do the Evolution, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter
notes: The band is much more confident and taking more "chances" tonight. Stone is back to his marching and Ed a lot happier, loose and talking more ... moving up to the front of the stage. Ed changes the 'Animal' lyrics to "I'd rather be with an English boy." After 'Even Flow,' Ed makes a mini anti-war political speech and talks about about how this show is the first time he can smell cigars from the crowd. 'Brain of J' rocks! Ed brings out the maracas during 'Daughter.' PJ doesn't have a lot of room to move around on the stage. It is blocked off ... they seem to have less room to move than the Letterman show last year. Still, an even better performance than last night :)

Alice In Chains '92

The Other Bootlegs section has been updated with an amazing soundboard recording of AIC in Seattle on 12/20/1992!! The sound is outstanding! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am. This really brought back some great memories for me hearing these songs again. "Sickman" put me right back in the pit from when I saw them in 1993 at Lolla. It was just sick!! Enjoy!

MP3 added for St.Pete's!!

Added 320kbps MP3s for the 3/29/94 show in St. Petersburg, FL! 1994 bootleg section. Have a sweet surprise on the way for the non-Pearl Jam section. Soundboard recording of one of the other great Seattle bands of the 90's! And of course there's always more PJ in the works.

Here's to the land...

...you've torn out the heart of!!!!

I just love this performance from Story Tellers. Perhaps we'll be adding Obama or McCain to the lyrics in '09 when we're lobbing missiles into Iran and ruining another country that poses absolutely no threat to us. Enjoy the music. Enjoy the message.

VFC Update!

The 2004 bootleg section has been updated with both MP3 and FLAC verisons of the 10/08/2004 show in Kissimmee! Enjoy! More on the way!

10/08/04 - Silver Spurs Arena: Kissimmee, FL (Vote for Change Tour)
attendance: approx 8,000
support act: Gob Roberts, Death Cab for Cutie
Ed's pre-set: Trouble, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
set: Last Exit, Animal, Save You, American In Me, Even Flow, 1/2 Full, Given To Fly, Wishlist, In My Tree, Timeless Melody, Rearviewmirror
enc 1 (acoustic): Lukin, I Am Mine, Nothingman, Last Kiss, Black
enc 2: jazz improv/toaster improv, Corduroy, Do The Evolution, Better Man/(Save It For Later), Daughter/(Blitzkrieg Bop), I Believe In Miracles, The New World (w/Tim Robbins), Fortunate Son, Alive
enc 3: Rockin' In The Free World, Yellow Ledbetter
notes: High energy show, ripping through the first four songs and Ed joking several times about how they would play as long as Bruce. Vacant security. Ed changes the lyrics of the second verse of 'Even Flow' relative to Bush and then forgets the following lyrics and blames it on Bush. Praise to Mike for the 'EF' solo and then Ed has Mike kick off '1/2 Full.' The first verse of 'Wishlist' is messed up, starting "I wish I was the singer ..." and he laughs it away to start over, screw up again and admit it at the end of the verse. The improv ending includes language about Ed wanting to be president and Cheney to be VP so Ed can shout "get the fuck out." Ed introduces Ben Gibbard from Death Cab to play a "Las song" ('Timeless Melody'), leaving the crowd a bit clueless. The acoustic set begins with Ed talking about how they will play some songs not heard often, romantic love songs and then they rip into 'Lukin.' Ed is still sick, sipping tea (and wine) and blowing his nose. During 'Black,' he walks to the side and takes Susan Sarandon's hand to dance. The improvs are just the band noodling/goofing around. 'DTE' includes "I'm the first man to poop my pants," and he demonstratively pulls up his pants. The 'SIFL' tag includes asking the crowd numerous times if they are going to vote followed by "don't let me downnnn!" 'I Believe In Miracles' is dedicated to Johnny Ramone since it would have been his birthday. During 'Alive' the house lights come on, to be turned off and turned back on for the final encore. Both opening bands plus Tim Robbins' son participate in 'RITFW.'
