San Francisco I

The 2006 Bootleg section has been updated with the July 15th show in San Francisco!! This is new to my collection so I haven't even listened to it yet. I have heard very good things about all three San Fran shows however. Night II and III coming soon!! Enjoy!

2nd Vic Recording Added

Another audience recording of Pearl Jam's Vic Theater performance has surfaced and has been added to this site. I've created a page, Vic Theater 2007, dedicated to this show and both recordings are available there in FLAC format!

Both of these recordings are very good. I could not decide which I liked best so I figured I may as well share them both. Such an amazing performance!! "Education" is absolutely killer live. Never would have thought it could be so good! Then there is the crowd singing along to every word of every rarity played which is just sick! Listen to "In Hiding" and tell me you don't get chills. Every fan needs this performance!

Santa Barbara 2006 FLAC

Finally, finally, finally... was able to get my hands on this one in FLAC!! Been trying to land this one for a while. This is an excellent show with an amazing acoustic set and now you can enjoy it in all its lossless glory!! The 2006 bootleg section has been updated with the 7/13/2006 Santa Barbara, CA show in FLAC!! Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!

Another recording of the Lolla show has surfaced. Not sure of the quality of it yet as I have not had a chance to download it yet but if it is bettere than what I have posted already you will find it here shortly! Enjoy the music!

North American Tour 2005

The 2005 Bootleg section has been updated with the entire North American leg of the tour! Well... almost. I have not included the 9/1/2005 show at the Gorge because it is still commercially available in the Gorge Box Set. I highly recommend that set as the sound quality is amazing. You can get it at www.pearljam.com/goods Other than that download and enjoy the tour. There are some truly amazing shows from that year. I recommend starting with Philadelphia, Halifax, and Hamilton! They are stellar performances!! Enjoy!

New Song from Eddie Vedder!!

Eddie has written an albums worth of songs for the "Into the Wild" soundtrack! Here is one of the tracks from that yet to released solo album. The soundtrack hits stores on September 18th, a few days before the Sean Penn directed film is released. Sean hand picked Vedder to write songs for the movie. Enjoy it! Cool song!

3 Updates

The 2003 Bootleg section has been updated with the FLAC version of the Nashville show that was previously posted in MP3 format. Also added was the St. Louis show for 2003! This is currently posted in MP3s at 320kbps. FLACs will be posted soon!

The Washington, DC show from 9/4/2000 has been added to the 2000 Bootleg section in FLAC format! I'll add MP3s for that show soon as well. These are all good shows. The St. Louis show opens with "Present Tense" which is awesome. The DC show includes the "It's OK" tag by Dead Moon at the end of "Daughter"! Enjoy!

7 Shows Added to 2005

There were seven shows added today to the 2005 bootleg section from Pearl Jam's amazing South American tour! Can't go wrong with any of those shows as the crowds were all amazing and the performances were all top notch! Setlists are not yet posted for those shows but will be coming soon. Enjoy!!

Vegas 2000 and Nashville 2003

Two shows added today in Mp3 format. They were encoded at 320kbps. I will be adding these shows in FLAC as well but this was a quick hit for now. Las Vegas 10/22/2000 has been added to the 2000 bootleg section. This was the 10th anniversary show for the boys and busted out "Crown of Thorns" as part of the celebration! Fun show.

Also added was Nashville from 4/18/2003. Honestly haven't listened to this show in a long time but the setlist is pretty good. Opens with "Oceans" and includes a cover of "Sonic Reducer" which is always awesome!! Enjoy the music!

Dick Cheney 1994

I don't usually throw politics in the mix here In The Present Tense but this is just too good not to share. Apparently Dick thought, back in 1994, that invading Iraq would be a quagmire!! He was right!

Chapters Bootleg and Tampa MP3s Added

The good old Chapters bootleg from back in 1995 or 1996 is available below in MP3 format at 320kbps. Lots of cool stuff on this thing including Bad Radio demos, Ed with the Doors, and Saturday Night Live performances. I think there are some Bridge School tracks on here too including the acoustic version of Corduroy! Good stuff!

So we haven't had an update here in The Present Tense for a while. Just wanted to let everyone know we're working on getting more shows uploaded to Megaupload for your downloading and listening pleasure!

For those of you that didn't know Pearl played Lollapalooza on Sunday night in Chicago. The show was webcast and a video file has surfaced for you to download and watch the performance! They also played a show at the Vic Theater in Chicago on Friday night which was loaded with rarities. We hope to land a copy of that show soon and make it available here
